Yes....aside from abortions...there is beneficial side to PP.They are out in a candy jar at my local Planned Parenthood for free.
If $104 per year is a lot of money you have far bigger issues.
I think everyone should get BJs at work.
It's not a lot of money...but I'd prefer it in my 401k than to give it away. No, $104 is not much to me. Financially I'm in great shape but a lot of people who work part time at UPS are not. The people who just started UPS have nothing besides $10 an hour for the first year. No health benefits, no time off, and no pay raises. They're pretty much on the same level as fast food workers. I'm sure they will love to give away $104 a year.
We call those "Bleeding heart Liberals".Some people like to give away other people's money.

Not at all----I just think it is very hard for someone making $80-100K to justify making a $1 one time donation.
I personally think all PTers should give at least $2/week and all FTers no less than $10/week.

How do you know they don't donate to a charity of their own choice? Not at all----I just think it is very hard for someone making $80-100K to justify making a $1 one time donation.
You beat me to it! Dammit!! lolWhat if they donate to St. Jude or donate time at a soup kitchen instead of giving to United Way? United Way is far from the only charity.

I donate blood twice a year...and donate food to Island harvest (food pantry). It doesn't HAVE to be money for it to matter. This is true, but I would be willing to bet you that the vast majority who don't support UW do not support any other charity, whether monetarily or otherwise.

Glad I don't care what you think.I personally think all PTers should give at least $2/week and all FTers no less than $10/week.
