I don't consider that a win anyway, we voted against it to begin with and they forced it on us.he's neither, the company wanted 22.4 language gone, it was an EZ give
Obviously I have not seen any of the language but so far according to Sean we have not given any givebackswe get it back in turnover and production, plus whatever we negotiated lower in "exchange" for it
he's quite the bridge-seller isn't heaccording to Sean we have not given any givebacks
What would you expect him to say?
In Boston, we have no bridge to sell you like in Brooklyn, NY.What would you expect him to say?

Leonard P. Zakim says different. In Boston, we have no bridge to sell you like in Brooklyn, NY.
Mondays totally suck with the route cuts, but not enough for me to volunteer for a Saturday schedule.Quite a few higher seniority guys will pick Tuesday through Saturday simply because it’s a lot more relaxed Saturday less supervision, and some of the routes are cut on Monday. Like I said, this is a great solution, and is a win for both sides. Effectively killing two birds with one stone 22.4 gone, and the need to force almost eradicated because of it. Might need volunteers for coverage from time to time.
You are right, the problem is trying to define our terms on what a great raise is. Some would say $6-$8 dollars over 5yrs for RPCD is a great raise while others won’t accept anything under $10. We’ll just have to see in a few days. I have a suspicion we will be quibbling over a couple of dollars in the end.I agree, but he didn't promise great language and mediocre raises.

For the last time, no walk out was going to happen before August 1.any word on today negotiations? i guess since there hasnt been a walk out yet is good news
I don't know where that came fromFor the last time no walk out was going to happen before August 1.
IDK, Sean demanding an offer so that we can get it voted on before the Aug1 . It’s not the same as us walking out the July 5.I don't know where that came from
We're still under contract until the end of the monthIDK, Sean demanding an offer so that we can get it voted on before the Aug1 . It’s not the same as us walking out the July 5.
Definitely true and not every driver's life outside the company is the same. Any guy stuck with a UPS Store pickup on Monday regardless of whether a preliminary or cleanup might consider choosing Saturday in part with that in mind. There is a lot of business you can do with a weekday off compared to a weekend.
I think the $10+ screamers are definitely a small minority, just loud. I don't know anyone personally who would turn down $6-$8, and I'd venture to say most would take less. You are right, the problem is trying to define our terms on what a great raise is. they literally walked out on negotiations last week after UPS economic proposalFor the last time, no walk out was going to happen before August 1.
Or maybe he's referring to Sean and the boys walking out of negotiations again? For the last time, no walk out was going to happen before August 1.
