UPS LATEST PROPOSAL

Yes it's very fair
I really don't see the companies opposition to increasing the PT wage just to reduce the constant churn of new hires every couple weeks. When I started working PT at UPS was a dream job. Much higher then minimum wage and weekends and Holidays off and paid vacations. UPS could pick and choose who they wanted to hire and who they were going to keep. What I really don't understand is fellow Teamsters opposition to a higher PT wage. Can anyone explain that?

Are you for real? I am starting to believe you are another management plant.
I would have loved to have $8.50hr back in the 90's. My first job paid $4.25 for full-time work my second paid $6.90 for FULL-TIME work. Both those jobs were harder than anything part-timers are asked to do.
Organizations like the Democratic socialists and liberal rabble-rousers have these youngins and brainwashed believing that they deserve a "living wage" for working a few hours a day. They arent invested and don't care if it bankrupts or stunts the company. Hell most of em will quit within a year.
They deserve a fair wage and that is it.

Got pulled over a couple times in my Army uniform. "Do me a favor and get that fixed."
Got one better than this. In college, I decided to become a reserve police officer to help me before graduating in Criminal Justice to land a job working for the Feds (yes, that didn’t work out like I planned). I get pulled over in my UPS truck by a State Trooper. I show her my police commission and ask her for some common courtesy. She looks at me, the truck, then says “you aren’t working as a police officer today” and writes the ticket.

Sir, I judge you haven’t understood anything. We ALL agree PT hourly wage should increase, $15.50 is abysmal. What we all disagree on is PT hourly rate should be the same as a FT hourly rate.
And please explain why not? Why do you care about a long term, post progression part time worker making full scale?

And yet here you are working a union job, raking in all these “liberal” benefits you seem to dislike

And you guys keep ignoring how the starting wage didn’t raise a cent for 30 years. How is that fair?

It’s honestly amazing how much the corporate sponsored media has brainwashed you guys into hanging over more and more of your labor produced profits to the CEOs and shareholders

You’re not gonna like my answer, it’s because you don’t deserve to make FT top pay. It’s a PT job and the company isn’t committed, nor should they be, to paying us the same wage. I get the better pay and benefits because I have a career not a job. I know this makes me sound like an elitist, but I’m not. There is a real distinction between the classifications that you are missing, and it matters. I know your circular argument is it should be the same pay because it’s the same job but it isn’t the same job. Y’all may have the same duties in the morning, but one is PT, while the other is FT. Everyone has repeated the same lines to you and you just don’t get it, and I’m afraid you never will.

Lol you’re working a few extra hours at the place… that’s it. You guys act like you’re in there splitting the atom

This company has done an amazing job at causing division between full timers and part timers. Again, you guys spend more time worrying about part timers making too much that you’re too distracted to care about corporate stealing billions

I waant aware thar only liberals could work a union job and collectively bargain for fair wages, benefits and conditions.
I bet you the Teamsters end up closer to my definition of fair than yours.
