If your trying to say it’s ok for someone to not pay dues then your even more ignorant than I thought. Put down your vote no Pom Poms and agree on something positive. Why not actually be a leader and tell them how it hurts us all.

Holy :censored2: your guys are so dumb. You would rather fight with me than regulate your own guys telling people not to pay dues!

Stewards don't pay dues so why, if you're a steward, do you want everyone else to pay your portion?
You're greedier than what we presumed by your posts.
Pay your own dues.
Then you can embellish other's statements to hide your true agenda on here....Tony Lagoon.

He was told to hit the breaks. He thought he was going to impress his boss and convince people on here to vote yes. His boss said he’s doing more harm than good and he is pissing more people to vote no.
Do we know who “Tony” actually is in real life???

Longer than that buddy.
Why would the union send a representative to negotiate a contract that hasn't done our job in over 10 years and then come on here to tell us it's the best contract ever for its members. OH WAIT YOU, you realize when you quit doing our job they still had the diad 4 and no CIR or Orion. Man you must just be confused with all this new technology and how it affects the members you are supposedly representing? It should be a rule that union negotiators should be either currently working in the field or removed only three years in order to truly understand the memberships issues. I can see you have been to busy shoving your face with donuts at the union hall to long to remember what it is we do for a living.

I think you missed the point , but if you're being funny I did get a laugh!

Correct.. It was meant to be funny. :thumbup1:

Maybe, just maybe with the Feds not breathing down their necks the International can use those gained resources and go back to negotiating good contracts without concessions again. Does anybody ever remember any contract over the last 25 years that was a clear "Knock Out" by the Union. The "97" one was a 12th round split decision with the Union winning on a points.

The oversight might be ending on paper, but we all know somebody will be looking at somebody with one eye open in the future. They could come back bigger and stronger than before, the Crooks or the Feds. It depends on the strength of our membership and the International willingness to stick up for the little guy again and live up to it's motto/core value of "People helping People".

A change is coming not matter how this contract goes, just read the coming weather clouds, a storm is brewing. :thunderstorm:

Just one more thing that you vote no guys are clueless about. Anti Union sentiment is unacceptable.
I'm clueless because I see my fellow employees busting there asses and after 25 yrs get $2000 and then at 55 spend $400 on insurance a net of $1600, 2nd contract where 25 and out gets no bump. And I don't want to here that the pension can't afford to give raises to those who retire early, the company will continue to make record profits they damn well can afford it. If we give concessions when there making record profits what happens if (WHICH I DOUBT) they have an economic downturn... I can bring up other examples (catch-up raises, 22.4s, 9.5 protection, $4.15 over 5 years, retirees having no say in (vote) contracts, etc. etc.) IF THE COMPANY HAD AN ECONOMIC DOWNTURN I CAN UNDERSTAND THIS, BUT IN NO WAY CAN I VOTE YES WHEN THE COMPANY IS MAKING RECORD PROFITS.

That's actually a gross of $1600.00 not a net. Even worse.

just chillin'

Rest in peace wooba
Just because this master may be good for you and your abused partime cover drivers in your particular region and local, if you are payining any attention to all the information available, this is not good for many other regions and locals. For that reason alone you can not in good conscience vote yes if call yourself a pro union teamster.

So this is your logic? We need to have union officials change every three years. Good luck with this, Sean, Fred , and a whole lot of others would be out of the business. Good luck attracting anyone worth their salt to do that job. At least I have peered into your mentality.

They do need to change or at least have term limits. Instead of the good old boys club

You would have thought after the last election, someone would have gotten a wake up call
