I just saw Wal-Mart is hiring and paying up to 100,000 a year to move goods. Also, the need for tradesmen and men who are willing to learn a trade is desperately needed in this country. Get the book: Durable Trades- it’s about occupations that have stayed around even after the Industrial Revolution. Might spark some ideas if things don’t work out.

Time for that canuck to show up and destroy this thread completely.
Anything he did was off clock. I understand what you and everyone else is saying. I get it. But my question is not what they should do, but rather what they can do. Can they deviate from the handbook and give someone their job back, no matter what the termination was for.

Had 2 beers with a steak dinner.
Supe called me up to cover a last minute run.
said sorry , had a couple beers with dinner.
he asked when.
I said a couple hours ago.
He said by the time I got in I would be fine.
Said sorry , I am not putting my CDL and job at risk.
He tried to direct me to come in.

He said I was the last person on the relief list ( true ) and I HAD to cover the run.
