Never understood how vacuum repair companies stayed in business. There's three in town here. Can't imagine there's too many people getting their vacuums repaired.

I walked around Target for an hour looking like a lost puppy!
But I did find a great Eastwood 4 pack DVD for my myself for 10 bucks includes hang em high & good bad and ugly ! Soooo it wasn't a wasted trip !!

On a positive note it doesn't bother me to tear apart a vacuum to try to repair it myself. I usually can fix a problem and if I can't no big loss.

I have "rescued" several from the side of the road, cleaned them and gave them to my son when he was still living in an apartment locally. They worked quite well after a thorough cleaning.

Now, I find out what I bought her when she opens it. Much smoother.

That's what my son bought me for Christmas.

My old one, which wasn't all that old, had a broken foot release lever. I would have brought it to our local repair shop but it closed last year. I tried to fix it but had no idea how to do it.
