What Did You do Today?

We were in our "starter home" for 34 years...
When we decided to move, I was throwing stuff away for 6 months. A good rule of thumb is if you haven't used something in the last 2 years, donate it or throw it away. If you have items in the attic, or stored in a out building, you will likely never pick them up again. Don't leave that burden for your children or family to deal with. It is so liberating to get rid of the clutter.
I’ve found that as far as workshop stuff goes the few times I have thrown something away within a month or so I have regretted it.

Should have included a disclaimer: You never throw a tool away.
Oh hell no---Never throw away any tool. I've got a few of them that I especially made for some project way back when that I don't have a clue what they are for now. ------------

You use it on a screw like this... and no you didn't make it.

Workshop tools you might not need again for 5 years but worth keeping.
I've had one of these for probably 40-50 years and have used it maybe only a dozen times but the times I did use it it was the ONLY tool that actually worked on stuck phillips head and slotted screws. (That includes an air impact wrench) .

nothing better than a nice warm wood stove fire when it's snowing outside and a hot bowl of chicken noodle soup.

that's what we are doing this Sat morning while watching old Rifleman episodes.
