Even if rebuilding is possible I couldn't imagine being in such a mismanaged area after the wildfires. Especially with the home insurance situation being what it is out there.

My understanding is the state took over home insurance when insurance companies pulled out. But that's limited to three million dollars and a lot of those homes were worth a lot more. And doubtful the state has enough money to cover that many homes. They're already in debt.

You have a point. Gov claims there was going to be a fast tracked permitting process. Talked to a LA firefighter last night about fires and NFL. He says its bad. Worse he’s seen in a couple decades.
