Been around the block a few times
Many years ago, I worked 14.25 on Christmas eve. Got a warning letter out of that. Merry Christmas.
I tried to implement the 16 hr rule to justify working over the 14th hr to now avail. Management said that only applied to feeders and not package. Why? We are all governed by the DOT rules.
NOW...the feeder rules apply to package....of course only when convenient.

You probably don't get the time work bonus. We get .33 hour at OT rate over 10. So 5 over 10's a week adds up.

Never said you did, but since you mentioned it, if you are so worried about your weekly tax rate why don’t you simply set it for 9 and send them quarterly checks based on what you feel you should be paying.

I am not worried. I set mine at 1 for both state and federal. I do zero out my 401k and increase my withholdings to 9 prior to going on vacation.

Agree. Anything over 5 hours per week is completely overvalued. It’s 20 cents on the dollar. Worthless

I grossed $2490.00 this week after 59.97 hours. After 15% in my 401K and 100 bucks in stock I’ll be lucky to clear $1400.00. I can work 47.5 hours and clear 11 and change. Something is wrong with that picture. I’d rather have 12 hours of my life back.

It’s just basing your tax rate off that week as if you’d make that year around.

Yes, if you made that amount each week, it would be close to your tax liability. You’ll get a portion of that week’s taxes back when you file, as you “should” be in a lower tax bracket than that weeks check would make it seem.
