I'm not sure how one can get sleepy while delivering, especially at the speed of peak. Constantly moving quick keeps me very awake no matter the hours. It's not like over the road driving hours on end on a highway where you can easily fall asleep behind the wheel.
I don't speed up at peak. Same pace year round.

You must be a long time preloader and have worked a ton of hours.

I'm not a long time preloader but I stay a long time. Only 3 or 4 stay ahead of me out of the 15 that could and we wrap the post-wrap. Other people have kids or other jobs etc.

Some of the PT unloaders do wrap then go do bags and trash and stuff so they're sometimes around. I like knowing everything got done. We also had some initial standing-around pay for 4 days, a lot of 6pm start times etc. I like working hard and I'm glad UPS sees it.

80h = 55 OT / 16.50 = $907.5. 25 SP / 10.50 = 262.50. $1,170 gross income.

I could've gone for helper but until Jan 14, we make 10.20. After a 6pm to 10am, no way I'm working 8.5 more hours minimum for 84 bucks.

Enough people with seniority are filling driver helper jobs. I saw two the other day but they were figuring out what to do with them because they came to work 90 minutes late.

My hometown!
My dad did catch a foul ball off of Nolan Ryan. He got it signed by the whole team and I still have it. That was about the highlight of good memories the whole time I was there.

Another, Dad and I slipped away from the hospital where my brother was to have a beer at the Sorento Hotel (pill hill area) around midnight one night. We were sitting at the bar having a beer and Dad asked me, "Is that Barry Switzer over there?"

I had no idea who he was talking about and said, "Who?"

He turned to the bartender and asked the same question. The bartender also said, "Who? I don't know."

Dad asked him who he was sitting with and the bartender said, "That's the owner of the Seahawks."

After a few, Dad got up and went to the men's room. On the was back I saw him stop at the booth where the two men were sitting. He looked straight at the guy and I heard him ask, "Anybody ever tell you look like Barry Switzer?"

The guy's eyes got real big, then he he turned cool and said, "Oh yeah, I get that all the time! What's he doing now?"

Dad said, "I don't know, but I think he's in Seattle!"

How long ago was that?

It was in '90 or was it '91?. May have very well been '91. If I'm not mistaken shortly before he went to the Seahawks.

What did you change if I may ask?
You can also have a fixed amount withheld, without changing your present filing status if you find yourself owing annually.

That's how I manipulate mine, striving to neither owe or get a refund.

Can't count how many of my co-workers that think they get taxed more on excessive OT.

They can't comprehend that "withholding" isn't "tax"?

You can both adjust your withholdings and have an additional fixed amount withheld.

I got 59.90 in. Would've liked to clean my route today but only had 5 hrs left. Looks like I'll do just shy of 60 until Christmas as we will finish out our hours each Saturday.

I find it funny that people here think that adjusting your taxes is going to effect how much you owe in April. If moving your tax withholding around is a big enough deal (which is isn’t) to do, then you have other issues.

Now that I think about, you’re only effecting literally 30 days of taxes from the point you can file in January based off your last check if you have a simple return.

Then again, if it makes people feel better getting an extra buck now vs in 30ish days, more power to you.
