9.5 violation

And keep a notebook. You will need it.
Keep track of start times, how many packages and stops. Also what sections you have on different days.

Did you have to help anyone? Run misloads? Take pickup volume off of someone?

They will twist every number they can.

Fight fire with fire.

Clearly you've never gotten on the list. Anyone who does gets watched daily and rode with. You haven't a clue. In my eyes a nine five driver, the hardest working most honest people we have in the company.

You have to understand, Dave sorts his load daily before start time. Dave signs for packages if the consignee is busy or unavailable. Dave takes his lunch and breaks at the end of the day because it benefits the company. Dave plays by his own rules.

And, Dave barely works eight hours any day of the week.

Question about being on the 9.5 list:

- Do they try to keep you under starting Monday then play it by ear each day?

- Do they adjust your volume accordingly or just send a message asking if you need help?

- If they send you a message and at the time you respond with "under" and end up going "over" due to circumstances what happens?

- If you're going to be 'under' and they ask you to help someone which causes you to go 'over' what happens?

- If someone comes to help you and circumstances cause you to still be over can they do anything regarding you being on the 9.5 list?

- Has anyone been over and not filed a grievance?

Thanks...

1. They dispatch you by the day, depending on routes in. 2.usually dispatch you accordingly. 3. If instructed to be under, you clock out under. WAD. 4. If instructed to help, causing you to go over, document.WAD. 5. If you are getting help, you are to punch out under 9.5. 6. Yes, it happens. 7. Document each day when on the list.

How do they handle it in other areas in regards to weather? Like if there's a bad snow storm and packages get backed up and everyone's working over 9.5 to catch up?

Fight the power.
Unless a sup does a 3 days in a row production ride and gets you to run scratch, then they use what you're dispatched with.

You must be new. Go to some union meetings. You are way off and incorrect on all your info. Weather is real life, unlike Orion. Not your problem.

They don't change your dispatch in my building if your on the list. They don't care. Unless they think you're laying down on them.(in which case they'll threaten discipline) Takes forever to get paid as well. Weak building, weak local.

Bad weather, more packages,= more drivers, or..... File the grievance!

And don't forget about him bragging about delivering packages on the way home (off the clock) out of his personal car. He's a real piece of work.
