The red counties of NYS are the dependents of the city, and overall the state contributes more in federal taxes than it receives in federal funding unlike some southern bastions of non-politically correct welfare states.

As a resident of one of the counties that you say are dependent on the city, I strongly disagree with your statements; in fact, we would happily hand you back to the Indians and get our $24 back.

Have you ever attended a NYC public school? The majority of the kids there, especially in the lower income area have no ambition to do anything with their lives. You might as well be throwing the money into a black hole. You only have the Democrats to blame, why bother getting an education when you see your parents getting free handouts while all they do is sit around at their home all day.

The southern states receive more federal dollars due to the fact there are more black people living there and due to the fact that such a high percentage of them receive assistance. Adding them to the rest of the recipients makes the south receive more federal dollars. If the populations of all the various races were spread out evenly (percentage wise) throughout the country then we'd see federal dollars spread out more evenly as well.
I don't think you understand. It's basic math. NYC does not receive more in funding than it gives in taxes.
Just to be clear, your county gives more than it receives?
