im not defending govt controlling hte economy. sometimes the govt should own the business. the business can be collectivey managed even when govt owns it too.

yea governments run businesses better sometimes than private sector. for example, public transportation is more efficient than anything the private sector produces. our govt healthcare is better. many utilities are better. the state bank of north dakota is better than wall st.

i am not a privatization fundamentalist. but thats besides the point, the point is we need more direct democracy, 1 person 1 vote, in the economy. no more of this submitting ourselves to private tyrannies (corporations or govt run biz with little democracy) and giving all the power to bosses.

in case u didnt know and u probably dont, SS is a regressive tax. so once u make the rich pay theres no problem...just like everything else.
