Why do we get harassed to wear a mask in the building and threatened to get kicked out when contractors could give two *s? We aren't their emoloyee. You see what I'm getting at? Fedex still as the overall say it what happens between the contractors employees.
Understand, contractors are powerless, non employee administrators of a supply chain. Cannon fodder to be thrown into the breach to seal up any holes in Fedex's anti union armor. Their only objective aside from keeping Fat Freddy's cheap labor addiction placated is to do whatever they have to do get another one year contract.
It's an impossible situation unless you can prove the existence of an established and pervasive pattern of unlawful labor law violations sufficient to warrant further investigation and audit. One isolated incident won't garner any attention.
In the meantime, decide where you want to be 5 years from now and strive to get there. Every contractor needs 3 guys on every truck. One coming,,, one driving... and one leaving.... Try your best to be the guy leaving and leaving with a clean employee record.
