We have a BIG Honda dealer locally and they stock VERY FEW motorcycles. The last time I stopped in they had 2 dirt bikes and a couple of those scooter things. According to the salesman nobody buys motorcycles anymore because the youth of today are all pusssies. He didn't exactlly put it in those words but I knew what he meant. They do all their business selling ATV's, side by sides and jet skis.Just looked(today) at the mid 650 and the Himalaya. Ultimately passed on both. Local Honda/Kawasaki dealer literally had no new inventory.None. And it's a big dealer.
Also built some badass old school hard tailsI do. He was a Character who thought he was better at standing up on a moving motorcycle than he really was.

Just before the pandemic started that same dealership was full of brand new bikes. Rows and rows of em. Now they buy 5-10 yo bikes and price them slightly less than new.We have a BIG Honda dealer locally and they stock VERY FEW motorcycles. Saw Larry a couple of times in Daytona.
Continental GT would be my go-to.Just looked(today) at the mid 650 and the Himalaya. Ultimately passed on both. Local Honda/Kawasaki dealer literally had no new inventory.None. And it's a big dealer.
I've always liked the looks of that bike. Similar to the Ducati and Triumph standards. The dealer had one right there yesterday....but those "clip on" bars just won't accommodate my 60 yo body. Really cool for about 5 minutes. Go for it!Continental GT would be my go-to.
I do, obviously.
Too cool for a helmet. If he wasn't, we wouldn't be having this discusssion. He built some awesome bikes. I Used to watch those biker build off shows and his would win all the time.
MotoAmerica has a female racing class using those.Continental GT would be my go-to.
Can't say I've ever seen a cafe racer used in an actual, official competitive race. That be an interesting sight.MotoAmerica has a female racing class using those.
Just search MotoAmerica in YT and you can find it. Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. Can't say I've ever seen a cafe racer used in an actual, official competitive race. That be an interesting sight.
KTM has it's smaller bikes made in India. I hear Honda does too to stay to a price point with the small profits to be made on them.Just before the pandemic started that same dealership was full of brand new bikes. Rows and rows of em. I also visited a Royal Enfield dealer. They had about a dozen 2023 models of various types. Built in India. What can they do that Japs can't? Keeping in mind India and China make motorcycles by the hundreds of MILLIONS. Way more than Honda.
Yes. Just short of slave labor......India. I wonder why KTM doesn't just make all of them there. It astounds me how many motorcycles are made worldwide. Around here or in the US really, a motorcycle is a relatively rare sight. One in a thousand cars?KTM has it's smaller bikes made in India.
