I see a lot of pictures that make me want to add a front cowl but I know I just can't give up the stripped look.

I know. Yours is a good look. Color and emblems give it an old “Imperial” look.

All the old motorcycles were basically pedal bikes with a motor on them. You would pedal them to start them. The first kick starter wasn't invented until later on.
