Texas is the same way. Even their small 2 lane roads are posted at 70mph. Some roads are 80.

A whole lot of nothing to drive past. You have to drive really fast to get a ticket most places. Yet my aunt that had to drive a lot because of her job there still got a lot of tickets because she drove even faster.
