Fixing up cars to a nice condition and making a profit is nearly impossible. Helps to get it for free.

He works at Jegs and has a circle of friends who help each other out. He is mostly a motor and mechanical guy and while he knows how to do other things those guys tend to specialize and work on different parts of each other's cars.

View attachment 14774 Today's mail, I thought only GM has recalls. My wife's steering may go out driving down the road, time to up the life insurance policy!

My wife just bought a new Ford Escape. 3 recalls within the first 2 months. 2 minor ones and one that was to fix it so the door wouldn't open up going around corners. I told her to get a Honda SUV but she quit listening to me years ago.-----------------and visa versa.

Sounds like a body flex problem.

Sounds like a Ford problem.;)

On a different note, I took my Tacoma to the dealer today for inspection and some other service. I have a friend there who is a salesman. While my truck was in, we took a FRS out for about an hour and a half.

Sweet little car if you're into the sports car thing.

Sure, if you like cars from the folks who bombed Pearl Harbor. :P

Funny, we just received 4 notices yesterday in Automotive from Ford. "Our records indicate your 1995 Econoline is due for an important safety recall..." A little late, guys!

That engine needs to be offered in the Viper.

Because of the Hemi’s tall cylinder heads, there’s simply no way that SRT engineers could package the Apache or its new 6.2-liter supercharged variant under the hood of the Viper, Cowland told us. It would require punching up above the hood, or heavily modifying the hoodline (it’s not just close, it would be several inches) to the point at which it would adversely affect the Viper’s aerodynamics.

I was watching Counting Cars and Danny had one of these....electrical fire.......just surfaces on the dash damaged. The car was solid and only 30 some thousand miles on it.

This was my dream car (back in the day) . They had a Bill Blass edition that I wanted......it was dark blue too.....that pic. may be it. Gorgeous!!
