Coronavirus

No, mutations occur when a virus is too virulent, harming its hosts. Milder variants occur. Which is why we keep getting the new cases numbers, but the actual death toll isn't mentioned. Would hurt the narrative.
Deaths attributed to COVID-19 for the past week were listed as 4,965, a 52 percent hike from the prior week.

The second half of your sentence is what many are finding out is the issue. Staffing.

Largest hospital here has 16 beds empty. (only about 50 beds total) they’ll continue to be empty because they don’t have the people to staff them. They underpay and treat their employees like garbage. They’re now mandating the vaccine for employees. By some estimates this means they could have up to 30% of their workforce walk if pushed to do so.

No one is disputing this is real and at this point a shortage is a shortage but many hospitals have create an environment that this was ripe to happen in. They understaff and underpay to maximize profits.
. Dr. Don Williamson, president of the Alabama Hospital Association, told a local news outlet that as of Tuesday there were 1,568 ICU patients, but only 1,557 beds.

As opposed to completely normal non-covid times where there might be 1500 patients and 1557 beds.

It's not a big deal.

“We’ve never been here before. We are in truly now in uncharted territory in terms of our ICU bed capacity,” said Alabama Hospital Association President Dr. Don Williamson.

Drama queen.

It's mildly over capacity system-wide. By 11 patients.

Total drama queen.

And he didn't increase staffing or beds in the past 18 months. What a loser.

Yeah they don’t count beds they don’t have staff for.

I don’t know how staffing is there but I know here the hospitals are “full” no beds within 2 hours but employees at the hospitals say there’s a decent amount of empty beds. Just no one to staff them.

Inordinately Right

Williamson said this doesn’t mean those patients aren’t getting ICU-level care. “They are, but to do that, they are taking up other parts of the hospital that would not normally be made into an ICU unit.”

OMG they had to temporarily write ICU on the dry erase board outside of a few extra rooms!!!! The horror!!!!

This is way better. At least these people can do some vaccine research while they lie on the floor with a shower curtain for warmth.
