Coronavirus

I didn’t miss that part. You missed the part where the states shut down where the virus was located, less chance of it moving into the state that didn’t shut down. I’m pretty sure not many people from South Dakota visited NY in the past two months.
We started with one known case and it expanded from there and into South Dakota too. Did South Dakota suffer much more as predicted by the media because they didn't shut down? Meanwhile in places that were "shut down" there were still busy supermarkets where people went back to their homes. Why were places like that, Walmart, Home Depot still open but local businesses couldn't practice social distancing, etc and stay open? Numbers wise this hasn't turned into what they thought with millions dead in this country alone spanning across all ages. It's primarily a senior citizen problem, especially for those with serious health issues already. It was prudent at the start to be careful, but knowing what we know how come some states are dragging their feet? Could it be political?

You didn't keep it under control anymore than if everything had been open but social distancing was recommended. Even in NYC they never needed all the respirators and hospital rooms they thought they would need and no place in the country is more densely populated.

NYC hospitals had to double up patients using a single ventilators! There were numerous reports of medical staff having to reuse respirators for multiple days. Your claim of, "never needed all the respirators" is a lie!

Cuomo demanded 40,000 ventilators. How many were used? He had a chance in 2016 to buy 16,000 but he refused. It's the state's responsibility to prepare for such things after all.

Have you ever been to South Dakota? May go up there on vacation next week. Almost the same thing as self quarantining.

Because covid19 was present in 2016! Please engage your brain.
He was told by his own state experts they were needed because eventually there would be a pandemic. He refused to buy them then tried to pass the blame when the pandemic happened. Which of course the Leftist media ate up. What I see are a bunch of Leftists wanting to blame Trump for their own actions.

Are you for real???

Do you sincerely believe this?
Well that does beg the question, if it's the Federal government's responsibility to handle disasters then why didn't previous administrations stock up? Lord knows both Obama and Bush spent a lot of money on everything else. It's because it's not their job to handle disasters. It's their job to assist as much as possible but because disasters are local it has always been the states and local municipalities responsibility to handle them first. It's power given to states.
