Coronavirus

This is getting too easy proving how little you actually know.

Trump cannot prescribe medication to anyone. But he is doing something. He is trying to save lives. He is urging the FDA to speed up the process and approve REGN-COV2 and he says he will make it free and available to everyone. What else would you like him to do? Create an Executive Order making REGN-COV2 legal to prescribe?

This is up to the FDA, not Trump.

OK. You have been proved wrong and shown that you have no idea what you are talking about, so your comeback is that Trump is selfish? Pathetic.
Trump took a cocktail that can’t be prescribed! I agree with you! Arrest him!

That's not what the golden rule says. Empathy is no good either, because thinking you know what is best for the other person is conceit, not morality.
the golden rule is how you deal with your freedom and its about moral consistency.

i dont think the struggle for justice ever ends, and cornel west says justice needs to be tied to love because otherwise it descends into revenge.

Trump took a drug the FDA hasn’t approved. A drug that can’t be prescribed. Some how Trump got a hold of illegal drugs! Arrest Trump and the doctor for illegal drug trafficking.

God is the standard for absolute moral authority.
If that is not appealed to, the opinion is subjective.
You don't get to have an opinion with an absolute.
What is "natural" to some, can be a violation of Natural Law.
Just because the fit one survives , wouldn't necessarily mean the choices he made were moral.

I am trying to explore the thought processes at this point, or the logic behind the different possibilities using conditional arguments. "If this, then that". I am not making claims about the existence or lack thereof of God. I am trying to lay the groundwork for explaining the reasoning behind arriving at those conclusions.

i just dont like the idea that im the only mind that exists because it sounds egoistic and ridiculous. i like the idea that thinking means i exist but do people with no brains mean they dont exist? im talking about 100% brain damage. i dont whats the significance of talking about this but its kinda interesting.

if you have more questions about how authoritarian structures of domination and control justify themselves (i believe thats teh word chomsky used) you can read "on anarchism" or watch his videos about anarchism.

That's pretty close to an answer to the problem of solipsism. These are the processes that work below the surface. It is important to understand these things because it is the most basic levels of our consciousness. All of our thoughts and beliefs are built on several assumptions that develop as we develop our theory of self. The better you understand your assumptions, the better you understand yourself and can identify your biases. That is the first step towards aligning your understanding more closely with objective reality. Without that, you are a leaf blowing around in the wind.

Brilliant? Existence comes from non existent? Order and design comes from no order and no designer?
The length supposedly brilliant men go to to deny the existence of God.

Yea im not sure about him, he did an interview with cornell west but then i heard at least a few bad things about him at the beginning

I don’t want to hear vaccine opinions from in-house media doctors who might have political motivations like LaPook at CBS or Gupta at CNN. Also don’t want an opinion from some local guy who might be on the pharmaceutical take or also be politically influenced.

Whatever shortcomings Fauci might have, he’s seemed to have been right about the Virus all along (edit: other than the early mask stuff) and has proven that he’ll always speak the hard truth about it. Somebody let me know if I’m wrong about that.

If Fauci were to say unequivocally that an early vaccine is safe I’d go for it.

My concern would be that three months later they found people were having adverse effects and he had to back track, and apologize for telling everyone it was safe before the data backed it up. I prefer taking my chances with catching the wild virus.

No, Fauci has been pretty much wrong on everything since he started lying about masks working.

I don’t think Fauci would say unequivocally that a vaccine is safe if he didn’t have the data in front of him.
