Yes, I would definitely go with UPS, but they didn't offer me full time, and there is the risk element.Or $90k at UPS if they were to keep you on after the holidays.
you misunderstood. I wasn't saying ups was an easy jobIt's far from easy
lolYes, you can dress like you are homeless for Fedex Ground.
I didn't say you did. The mental part will wear you outyou misunderstood. I wasn't saying ups was an easy job
But IF you can hang on, will be worth waiting for ( if you can swing it work two jobs until you get in).Yes, I would definitely go with UPS, but they didn't offer me full time, and there is the risk element.

Fedex Ground drivers are paid a flat rate. The guy I knew would get paid $725/week. It didn't matter if he worked 8 hours a day or 14 hours a day. And then he was responsible for paying his own income taxes at the end of the year, so you would have to budget that in and then file a 1099 at the end of the year and pay your own taxes.
Yes, definitely. But IF you can hang on, will be worth waiting for ( if you can swing it work two jobs until you get in).
Good info, thank you!
pretty much sucks.
I don't think that happens any more.Fedex Ground drivers are paid a flat rate. The guy I knew would get paid $725/week. It didn't matter if he worked 8 hours a day or 14 hours a day. I tagged you so you could give a different perspectivepretty much sucks.
Saint George, UTWhat city are you in if you care to say? Some areas are starting to have a hard time finding qualified drivers to promote from our part-time ranks. There will probably be a lot of retirements at the beginning of the year with the pension increase. The five-ten year waits to go full-time in my area are over with in my opinion.
Probably not the 1099, but the flat rate most definitely.I don't think that happens any more.
definitely sucks. (that better?)I tagged you so you could give a different perspective
