last week, I was clocking out and a driver had called in to explain that he almost got stuck and was making sure they knew why he was going to have excessive "backs" on the telematics report... lol

I have back first exceptions all the time out in the sticks when I pull up to a house and then realize Orion wants me to turn around. I'm not driving a half mile down the road to turn around. Screw that.

I'm betting you will be given a couple of days at home to think about what a bad boy you've been and then will be called back----------------unless you are a real friend-up---then its the excuse they've been looking for.
Never been wrote up, and they are taking it to panel in Orlando Florida.

Why would he call the police? He said he talked to the owner.

You hit something. It doesn't matter if it was a water balloon I'd still call my center.

CYA doesn't just apply to UPS. I don't know the local laws or ordinances about hitting a dog. I do now, but didn't then.

Always make the call.

That being said, hopefully your first call was to the union hall to your BA and not to check in here to see what to do. As said before, you will get a slap on the wrist and be back in a few days.

I hit a dog that ran into the street. I stopped got out and talk to the lady. I had no idea I had to call it in as an accident. They terminated for not reporting an accident. I have a clean record with UPS. Is there anybody else that has been in my situation?
In my state dogs are require to be kept under control. This would have been an unavoidably accident.
