You mean the dog hit you.

The dog committed suicide.

"I used my horn, lights, signals, and made eye contact.

He had a determined look on his face."

Same thing in feeders. Deer always do it.

You can tell, when they aren't in the designated deer crossing section.

Another problem with not reporting is, you lose control and allow others including management, to frame the situation. You lose control.

Yes. I have. Unfortunately I ran a dog over and killed it one time. I also called the police on myself, and called my center manager immediately. Never got charged with an accident. It shook me up pretty good though, I kept thinking, what if that had been a person?

A person would have stepped out of the street

We had a driver making book hit a dog. Instead of reporting it he tried covering it up by putting the dead dog in his package car like not happened. He took it home and buried it. Only way they found out was the dog had a GPS tracking collar on.

What happened to the driver?

He tried to say that he didn't know how the dog got into his yard. He said maybe it followed him home and dug a-hole in his yard and buried himself. He almost won the case until the home owner showed ups camera footage of him putting the dog in his car. Fired.

My on car said hitting a dog in the street will never be your fault but in someone's driveway will get you in hot water because "we're not supposed to be in driveways" as we're driving down a mile long driveway in the country....

Obviously I'd call the center in either case don't know why you wouldnt.
Not now avoidable accident according to the new ups
