For whatever reason I do not believe the company feels we will strike, I believe they are mistaken. And they have very little time to come to reality.
Let them :censored2: around and find out. :censored2: they’ve :censored2:ed around for too long from what I’ve learned the short time here. This will send a massive precedent across the US that regular Americans are tired of getting shafted if it were to occur. No matter what happens, everything will be alright, both at work and in the US.

I like that outlook

It’s really out of our direct control. I tend to focus on my slice of life and uplift those around me. We are all connected and it’ll spread. That’s the point of the serenity prayer. Can’t change people, but you can change your self and how you react to stimuli. No matter what happens we must persevere. Things may get bad, even scary, but as long as one remembers that this too shall pass it doesn’t seem so bad. All we can do is do our best and that’s all that matters:

The question I have is, why are we guaranteed our jobs back after the strike is over when it says right there that we are not guaranteed our jobs back and the employer has the right to hire permanent replacements?

Seems to me that if this is real, UPS strategy is to force the strike into an "economic" classification rather than an "unfair labor practice" classification...

Aaide from the fact that no one wants to work, and no one will be there when UPS throws the Bat Signal, you have to consider ULPs under good faith bargaining. That's a broad brush and will be a big deal if they're trying this. The books are open, ite easy to see what's affordable.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

First proposal from any company is generally pretty bad. Normally I wouldn’t be concerned but time is very short here.

For whatever reason I do not believe the company feels we will strike, I believe they are mistaken. And they have very little time to come to reality.

They thought the same thing in 97
It’s like deja vu

What’s a Lytx?
A pointless device that monitors your eye movements in the cab and has a live camera facing forward. Live camera video from the forward facing camera is sent to the cloud to the third party company the sensor inside monitors if you were paying attention to the road and yells at you from time to time.

Just saw some screenshots of what UPS proposed for raises. Let’s just say hope everyone has money saved up. There’s going to be a strike. From what I saw for FT raises it was $.50 cents per year for 5 years, top pay also lowered to $32.00 an hour for anyone who makes book after 8-1-23. Wow. Sean was right, that is appalling. Going to try to get the screenshots to post here.
My only concern is, is Biden going to let us strike to counter that offer?
