Let me guess, is it your parent or your child that's a teacher? Usually when it's a spouse they know better because they're more honest about the people they work with.

Maybe that says more about the echo chamber you like to inhabit, I have sister who was a teacher, numerous cousins, and just everyday neighbors. Some got into teaching because of need others because they were inspired too. Both of us can be right in this instance.
