It's funny how sensitive some people get when you point out teaching is a job, and they're not martyrs.
Let me guess, is it your parent or your child that's a teacher? Usually when it's a spouse they know better because they're more honest about the people they work with.

I'm speaking from a from viewpoint of a family of educators. All teachers are not educators. Perhaps you experience is biased on teachers who aren't dedicated to the profession.
