PVD's dont have to, they volunteer. It states that “no package car driver shall be required to use their personal vehicle”. Guessing the company will find a way around that.
Have you read the arbitration? It was more than just that language.PVD's dont have to, they volunteer.
Of course if they dont want to use their own vehicle they might not be working much, but that's entirely up to them.
This shows how head in the sand management is.they are Full Time Service Providers, at no point are they officially called Package Drivers by ANYONE

Yes they do. You jersey guys and your logic. They have no other choice.PVD's dont have to,
No, not yet.Have you read the arbitration? It was more than just that language.
Lol, they can choose to wait it out.Yes they do. You jersey guys and your logic. They have no other choice.
Its like arguing Jersey is a RTW state because they chose to work at ups. So they chose to join the Union.
U so smortI could see UPS trying this instead.

Though this is the decision. It looks like it's up to the two parties to come to a remedy.

I posted it because I'm sure many won't read it and think this now means no PVDs at all.
I think the key thing is they will have to be given the choice of driving their own vehicle or driving a package car or rentalYou mean that there is such a thing as a (PVD), I thought the arbitrator just defined them as newly hired (package car drivers) who were (forced) to drive their own vehicles.
If they would of agreed to drive their vehicles it would not have violated the present contract language?
Now it subject for further negotiations.
They don't have enough brown trucks here right now and it's not even "peak season" yet.You mean uhaul and penske trucks.. They can't even provide enough brown trucks for their actual employees during peak.
UPS will say fuggit and use PVD's .The Union will posture and scream and nothing will change.
PVD’s are happening THIS PEAK at the very least. My building would literally implode by thanksgiving without themView attachment 352403

Tough guys here are ready to strike!UPS will say fuggit and use PVD's .The Union will posture and scream and nothing will change.
All the OMS could think about was rolling downhill. No man. I asked the OMS on the way back to the center and he just kept up that blank, emotionless stare on the road that only a psychopath could give and shook his head
The ones that want to "hurt" the company because they hate management are the ones that are screaming for a strike here if PVDs are used.Tough guys here are ready to strike!
