Do you not know you can just drive the truck back after 8 hours ???? Inform them you will not be done in time early in your day. Then it is there problem.

Not here----you do that here and they will send you back out and then hand you paperwork the following morning.

The guy who used to run next to me would always be in by 5:30 but he would always put in for 8 hours. Never could figure that one out.

Sounds like my guy. He seldom worked over 8 1/2 but would still request an 8 every chance he got. The difference was I would have to finish his pickups and deliver some stops way off my area. He wouldn't want to work 8.01 hours. When I had a 8 hour request I was OK with it being close as long as I got off early. No reason to be a prick about it.

This guy was also the one who would take off (unpaid) every chance he got. Then complain about not having any money.
