The math is pretty simple : Just go back to pre-Bush times, when Clinton ran a surplus.
Whatever Bush implemented, take that away (tax cuts and medicare part B).
However, with the higher national debt there is more interest to pay, I suppose you can cover that by making further major all around cuts and maybe a small tax increase.
Many of us aren't so opposed to tax hikes that we won't consider them. We just know it's foolhardy to increase taxes without addressing the spending problem first. Fix the spending then we'll talk taxes to complete the job.
