Only the public can make donations, and that's it !

It used to be the American Way here, too. But, they got rid of it, and replaced it with a $2.00 per vote ballot given to all parties, that people voted for.
But, now that's on it's way out, too ! Only money parties can get soon, is only from public donations.

Our great leader probably won't seriously address the issue of budget & deficit until after the 2012 election. He's afraid a screw-up will ruin his chances. He'll do stop-gap, temporary things. As usual, there will be no committment by him.
I can't stand people who won't take a stand and actually lead !

Not true, August 2nd is creeping up soon. That's when the US runs out of money to pay it's bills , again, and the debt ceiling needs to be adressed.
Republicans are asking for a $2 Trillion cut, because the dems want the debt ceiling to rise by $2 Trillion.

If you get your wishes, $2 Trillion is the price tag for Medicare/aid, and they could just abolish that in August.
Going to be fun to watch this game, again

Besides, if no cuts are made, $2 Trillion won't even last 2 years !

I said in my post that he will do "stop-gap" measures.........fixes, just to get by!!! Remember, the Democrats didn't pass his budget version? He'll do nothing to jeopardize his election chances. By doing nothing, he will alienate many for not being a leader.

Many of us aren't so opposed to tax hikes that we won't consider them. We just know it's foolhardy to increase taxes without addressing the spending problem first. Fix the spending then we'll talk taxes to complete the job.
