Re: Obamanation here today

You want to talk stupid....what about the president who thinks he doesn't have to deal with congress and can just 'executive order' anything he wants.. Last time I looked, he was not King Obama. We have checks & balances for a reason. He thinks he's beyond that stuff.
I think Dick Cheney and his "Unitary Executive" theory would disagree with you.

President Barack Obama and MSNBC’s Ed Schultz have been named to GQ magazine’s annual list of “The 25 Least Influential People Alive.”
Although not available online yet, TVNewser published a preview Friday:

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz comes in at #3. Ouch.
According to TVN, Obama came in 25th. Can’t wait to see the explanation.

Tim Pawlenty was #1 and John Boehner was 24th.
Boehner can say Obama was the only person on the list more influential than me. He is a politician so he'll probably do it.

[h=2]Most Of Obama’s Minority Judicial Nominees “Not Qualified”[/h]President Obama’s quest to transform federal courts by appointing unqualified leftist ideologues is worse than previously imagined, according to a mainstream newspaper that reports the notoriously liberal American Bar Association (ABA) has rejected a “significant number” of potential judicial nominees, most of them minorities and women.
But the White House has agreed not to nominate any candidates deemed unqualified by the ABA, the 400,000-member trade association that provides law school accreditation. Though it claims to be an impartial group of lawyers, the ABA usually takes liberal positions on divisive issues and Democratic/liberal nominees are more likely to receive the group’s highest rating of “well qualified” compared to their Republican/conservative counterparts. This has been documented in various studies, including a recent one conducted by political science departments at three Georgia universities.
The number of Obama hopefuls stamped “not qualified” already exceeds the total opposed by the ABA during the eight-year administrations of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
That means Obama’s rejection rate is more than triple what it was under either of those previous administrations.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — The U.S. economy grew at a slower pace than originally estimated in the third quarter, mainly because companies reduced inventories and did not invest as much.

The Commerce Department cut its estimate of gross domestic product to 2.0% from a first reading of 2.5%. The government’ second revision of GDP includes data not fully available earlier, such inventory levels and trade data. As a result, it paints a more accurate picture of U.S. growth.

Economists surveyed by MarketWatch expected the government to trim its estimate to 2.3%.

I heard Obama on TV talking about the European crisis. He said the U.S. will do everything we can to help Europe. I hope he doesn't mean bailing them out because we can't afford it.

Europe can just borrow from China directly.

Documents Show Obama Admin, GAO Ignored Group’s ACORN Affiliation To Award Them $700K In Taxpayer Funds…

We all know the rules (in this case a law) don’t apply to Obama.
Via Daily Caller:
A newly released internal audit appears to indicate that the Government Accountability Office and President Barack Obama’s Department of Housing and Urban Development incorrectly argued that a specific organization wasn’t ACORN-affiliated.

HUD’s office of general counsel and the GAO have both claimed that Affordable Housing Centers of America, or AHCOA, is not affiliated with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. AHCOA formerly called itself ACORN Housing, but changed its name after the 2009 ACORN meltdown.

The Obama administration has awarded more than $700,000 in taxpayer funds to AHCOA despite a 2010 law stipulating that no taxpayer funds could be awarded to ACORN “or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, or allied organizations

[h=2]Obama Shafts Air Force Officers[/h]
The Chapman University of Military Law and its associated AMVETS Legal Clinic are blowing the whistle on what they say is an injustice set to be perpetrated on 157 Air Force majors on the last day of November.
“The Obama administration has ordered massive reductions in forces, resulting in many officers who are near retirement being involuntarily separated without retirement or medical benefits,” explained institute director Maj. Kyndra Rotunda.
The Department of Defense specifies that service members within six years of retirement normally would be retained and allowed to retire on time with benefits, unless extenuating circumstances exist such as disciplinary issues.
According to lawyers at Chapman and the AMVETS Legal Clinic, the Air Force has deviated from the six-year protection “without any legal authority.”
“At the heart of the matter, is whether the Secretary of the Air Force [Michael Donley] can ignore protections that exist in governing regulations,” Rotunda told The Daily Caller. “The Air Force position is that yes, he may. Our position is that nobody is above the law.”

Obama Shafts Air Force Officers

This sort of thing was done under Clinton also while i was in the Military. Many were forced out of the service (RIF = Reduction in Force) because of all the base closings and cutbacks. So the men and woman who signed up and were in the military for the long run (20 years) were sent packing with nothing. I saw 14yr service members with familys hitting the streets with nothing. I also was RIFed with almost 10yrs of service and was planning on going the full 20yrs for retirement. In the end the Goverment does not care and it will bring more unemployment. Sad.
