This is interesting:
Just be aware that if you lived in Canada everything else was the same (wages, other costs like housing, length of time you could remain in employment, - not realistic because the US system financially disincentivizes businesses from employing older workers.
But, ignoring all that, if you remained employed in both places or not, over your lifetime you would be at least $500,000 or $600,000 richer in Canada due to their single payer system saving you a huge amount of money..
Money which in the US you would have to pay, even though the healthcare in the US was inferior and getting more and more so, for most people. (except the wealthy.)
