My goodness, you are obtuse.
Any aircraft the POTUS is on is AF1. Not all airstrips can handle a 747.
This trip was overdue, and should have been made decades ago. The whole episode is one more reason that Kissinger & Reagan should never be celebrated, only vilified.

overdue why? The Cubans did not change their human rights policies. nothing was negotiated for the betterment of anyone. In fact the Cubans so despise Obama they wouldn't even meet the first president to go there in a hundred years at the airport. If your idea of historic diplomacy is to put our president in a position of blatant disrespect then this visit was certainly historic.

When you make such an argument you should add what Obama got for our billion dollars spent on this trip which by the way was his second trip to india and as such a waste.Obama went there to open up markets. Looking at the trade deficit between the two it appears that India has benifited much more a year later. If that trend continues then you can safely say that Obama pissed that billion dollars away.
once again the trend defines why Trump says we have the wrong people negotiating these deals.

that's why he has helicopters . Despite your obtuse defense of his actions it is highly unusual for the president to bring anything other then the specially modified 747's . Bringing a 757 would not be one. In this case when the plane flies there are always two of everything . Meanwhile Obummer will be sure to lecture us all on climate change as he urinates jet fuel on his little family laden excursions.

I don't fault Obama if he actually negotiats positive change. The fact he arrived and was not met by the head of state in cuba shows he clearly went there with his hat in his hand. Obama is desperately begging for the legacy he has not achieved.
