Is this a mistake of God’s?
Of course not, God didn’t make the choice. He only gave us free will. If he did not give us free will and made us do as he said, how would he ever know if we truly loved him or if we were just doing what we were told? I believe when you get to a point where you want to do the things that he would want you to do because you want to be close to him not because you’re told to that’s when you realize that you are learning how to be a Christian.

When kids are little and you have to discipline or correct them, they might even think you’re being mean, if you told him not to touch the hot stove. The truth is there’s a reason for it and eventually they will not want to touch themselves because they know what we warned them and disciplined them about was done out of love. Eventually, they will not want to touch the stove themselves. Same as with our heavenly father.

I understand.

I’m just trying to get to the bottom of @vantexan saying that he disagrees with my simple understanding of God’s sovereignty when I say that I believe nothing, absolutely nothing happens in God’s world by mistake.

I think there’s a difference between every choice being God’s choice and God being able to use everything for his good. Bad things happened to people and it is unfortunate but I do believe God can make something good of it. I don’t believe the bad plan was his. Unfortunately, sin gets in the way.

I agree. I believe nothing happens in God‘s world by mistake.

I pray for courage and wisdom too as well.
And thus if you saw a man raping a woman he drug into an alley you'd shrug and say God's will be done. That's the logical conclusion of your.belief. Maybe you should shout encouragement to her. Say it's only painful for a little while. Heck, shout encouragement to him too. Say it's God's will he's :censored2:ing her so enjoy. Why would you even bother to call the police? They'd just be interfering with what God wants.

But it was God’s choice to give us choice therefore not a mistake, no?

So is this God’s mistake?
You're trying to get me to say God doesn't make mistakes, that everything happens for a reason. God gave us free will. Not everyone will go to Heaven because of the choices they make. You seem to believe everyone will go to Heaven no matter what they do. I'm guessing you don't believe in Hell.

I don’t understand. Only you said anything about someone shrugging, only you said anything about someone saying God’s will be done. The rest isn’t even worth mentioning it’s so strange.

We are talking about mistakes by God what God wants and doesn’t want is coming from you. I don’t even know what that means. You’re claiming that God wants evil is a little bizarre and like your question I think stupid.

It's what you're saying. Nothing happens by mistake. It's all God's will. Thus you won't interfere with a man raping a woman because it wouldn't be happening if God didn't want it to.

My friend, I am not trying to get you to say anything.
