No sir, I don't ignore that verse. Nor do I single out the verses that fit the narrative I want and ignore the rest. It's because God so loved the world that he sent his son to die on the cross. If all that it takes to spend eternity with him in heaven is to just accept him as our savior then all those billions of people who don't believe he's the Son of God are lost. If they will go to Heaven anyways because, as I suspect you believe, God loves them no matter what, then it's not necessary to believe in Jesus for any of us. We can continue to live lives full of lust, and greed, and corruption, and violence. Doesn't matter, God will save us anyways, no need to comply with his plan of salvation. We can tune you out and every preacher out there too, whether he's a fire and brimstone fundamentalist or an anything goes liberal milquetoast. Nothing is off limits because it just doesn't matter. Or am I wrong about your stance?
