Oh, it’s known they frequent here? How do you think they would have Some sway over many of us we have been here decades lol? come on man grow up. Yes the way you’re telling your story the Teamsters would have to be in on this. You didn’t predict anything this is normal operation for contract negotiations.

Strike votes are an automatic yes there’s really is no mystery here. The only difference is the way we’re conducting at this time.
So what happens if the strike vote and it’s execution is brought into question? Does it get decided in the courts? Does the union have to continue working past the deadline while a new vote is taken, or there is a ruling on the legitimacy of the strike vote?

Somethings to ponder

Surely ups wouldn’t do that to stop a stike and keep us working for months until they can make a deal? To take away the power of a potential strike to try to get a softer more ups friendly deal?

Surely they wouldn’t!!!!!!! And they won’t stop calling me Shirley

But I’m sure the teamsters have it all under control.

What standing does UPS have to challenge our own internal strike vote?

Not sure, but I’m going to guess someone with more knowledge on the situation already thought that through. I’m not really super worried about it.

It gets more votes because you don't let the member go in the building or leave with out pretty much forcing them to vote. Members need to be spoon fed by the union or the union isn't doing its job. Can't ask a member to care enough about his job or union by expecting them to show up and vote or pick up the phone.
Yes, you make great points. For as rushed as this has been there is ill be a lot more strike authorization voting than i bet we have ever saw in the past.
