7 day service should mean Tuesday- Friday for upper seniority, four- 10 hour days, Saturday, Sunday, Monday for the newbies, three-12 hour days, get paid for 40.

What about the overtime everybody crying about

Most of them I know love 60 hours or at least as close as possible to it, except for mileage runs, possibly.

Yeah they like those too. But I can tell you that 4-10s always went to senior drivers in my old group.

Nobody should be expected to sacrifice every Saturday and Sunday for a job unless they choose to enter that job and work schedule.

I could see some kind of rotation being introduced.

Ex: High seniority being Mon-Thursday with rotating fri-sat/sun? Low seniority being Tu-Fr with rotating Sat-Sun?

High seniority would still be mostly mon-fri with the least weekend work, low would get the most weekend work

Still gonna be decent check and have the sure three days a week off might be worth it especially for senior guys just trying to get those last years in. I see pros and cons.

Different strokes. I never took a 4-10 or a Sun-Thur run but there was never any shortage of drivers who wanted to work those schedules. It's not for everyone but it's nice to have that option if it suits you.

It's not overtime if the regular shift is 12 hours.

No choice if the company makes it a 3 day work week. You know there will be OT opportunity as the company needs shifts covered.

A 4-10 doesn't pay OT until after ten hours
