Did they leave the top rate alone for new FT drivers in progression? If so, that is going to be a HUGE jump from 90% up to top rate. It used to be in the $10-11/hr range---it is now going to be much higher. Time to max out the 401k's.

The starting PT rate went from $15.50 to $21.00. That is a 35% raise.

And 48% over the life of the contract?

I used to advise the drivers in progression that if they were comfortable at their current wage to take the windfall bump to top rate and dump it in to their 401k. Very few actually listened and even fewer put my advice in to action,

Exactly- most people would do the opposite of you when it comes to financial decisions. Lol.
