Depending on the Senate, there might be real world consequences. And deservedly so in my opinion; Trump had been reckless. But it does little in terms of swaying public opinion. Battle lines are drawn among partisan lines.

I could be wrong and I hope I’m wrong. I can’t stand Trump. He’s a fake populist. I’d love to see a wholesale rejection of him. I just don’t see it coming.

i wonder if the fighters during the revolution would be considered terrorists in todays world. Our country has a history of using violence to fight tyranny and injustice. The riots this past summer were a prime example.

I don't think the riots this summer were about fighting tyranny and injustice. They were more for using as an excuse to get a new flat screen tv or a couple pairs of Nikes. The average rioter back then couldn't care less about some thug who supposedly couldn't breath---but could talk just fine.

Don't take my word for it. I wouldn't consider The Joint Chiefs of Staff to be the most politically-biased or activist body and that's exactly what they called what happened at the Capitol last Wednesday in their memo to our armed forces yesterday.

What happened at the Capitol was wrong, it was an insurrection and no one should condone violence, EVER. Now how about those violent riots, looting, and burning down of businesses? Why haven't they been at least disapproved of by the media and the left?
