Well another fine job our Executive Board did for our members. Rico from Nassau lost his job after 31 years of service with UPS.

Could you at least post what happen? why he was fired? something with a little more info.

LoL.. did you really think he would tell you?

* recieved a customer complaint that he was observed doing drugs in the back of the truck. When Management approached him on his rout he admitted to using cocain. He was taken back to the building and drug tested. The tests came back positive for cocain. He was dicharged under reasonable cause testing. he waived his rights to a shop steward as well.

Yea, I was going to tell you all when you started to sugar coat the facts!!!! He was offered a porters job until Cigar Pete opened his loud and stupid mouth...... NOW HE HAS NOTHING!!!

He was not offered a porters job! Where do you get your information from? Why would they offer him a porters job for what he did????? There was a porters job up for bid at the time of his incident and he had put his name on it. The only way he would have got the porters job was is he had the time to WIN IT!!!!

OK lonedope. Let's see if this makes any sense at all. The guy bid on a porters job, right? Before he was awarded that job, he was nailed for using cocaine, right again? And UPS, being the kindhearted souls that they are, decided to overlook the cocaine use and give him the porters job, right? But somehow, Pete screwed this up and got the coke addict fired despite the best intentions of UPS, right again? Sorry...not buying it. Sounds like another "Tall Tony Tale".

This week another guy out of Wood haven center got fired because of Liam. He was walked off the job because Liam R forgot to claim Innocent until proven guilty!

This Board is boasting how much money they have in the Health and Welfare Reserves. All the members are in collections and they are all paying higher co-payments. The board is not paying the members bills that is way they have alot of money. We all got screwed!

Our H&W fund in Upstate NY has rebounded nicely since they added co-pays, especially the $100 ER co-pay. Guys were going to the ER with minor injuries knowing that there would be no out of pocket. Since the $100 co-pay has been added ER visits are down dramatically. We have never had a problem with getting our bills paid.

There is no excuse for a member to be faced with collection notices simply because the board is not paying their medical bills in a timely manner.
