Teamsters Disaster Relief Aid
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Local 804 members who have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath. Some Local 804 members faced life-altering damage to their homes and property. Our message is simple: We Stand With You!
The Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund is accepting applications for assistance from members who live in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Teamster "Disaster Relief Alert Notices" and "request for help" forms are available below. If you live in the affected area and experienced a loss due to this FEMA-declared major disaster, please download and fill out the forms.
For questions, contact the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund office at (202) 624-8971.
Members living in one of the following New York counties are eligible to apply: Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Queens, Richmond and Suffolk.
The deadline for the application is January 31, 2013.
Members living in one of the following New Jersey counties are eligible to apply: Atlantic City, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Union.
The deadline for the application is January 31, 2013.
Members living in one of the following Connecticut counties are eligible to apply: Fairfield, Mashantucket, Pequot Indian Reservation, Middlesex, New Haven or New London.
The deadline for application is December 28, 2012.
HELP SPREAD THE WORD To help increase awareness of this valuable benefit, members who live and work in the affected areas are asked to print and post these Disaster Relief Notices at their places of work.
Members be advised that Local 804 does not administer this program. Questions regarding the application process, pending applications or other inquiries should be directed to (202) 624-8971.

Many of our members are still without, power, gas and are just having a tough time surviving with their families. My heart goes out to them as I am trying to keep my family safe.

WHEN ARE U GOING TO ATTACK UPS .... what? afraid that UPS management won't let you on their fishing boats anymore.......

You never want to let ups see infighting within the ranks. Look what u guys got by backing pope. We didn't get invited to sit at the neg table for the first time.

Bklynupser, you don't know the facts. When Ron Carey was our President, Local 804 was never invited to the neg table. The old board was invited because they kissed Hoffa's @ss. Please tell me ONE THING Local 804 got because Howie was invited to the neg table. I'm sure you liked the last 2 contracts didn't you......... nice name you have ,,, what ILOVEUPS was taken?????

I took today off to volunteer after voting.... Made a lot of care packages with the Salvation Army. It felt good to give some time to help out families in this crisis.



Now its time to take care of our members in our crisis. This current E-board proved themselves to be weak and a failure.......
The Leadership team is put together with scotch tape in a couple of weeks......
