Hey littleD, Liam pays dues. Always has been. Right after he lost his arbitration, the old board tried to stop him from paying his dues, but he kept paying and still pays every month. He is a dues paying member of Local 804!!

Ive got news for you. Last vote, too many members voted due to bad information by the two slates that ran against Tim's slate. In the survey on why members voted "no" 40% voted no because of lies about vacation cover drivers, 30% voted no because the "pension was not in writing" and 30% because of massive change in PT healthcare.
First, VCDs are a change in language and were spin in a negative way by enemies of the E/B. Part timers want more opportunities to go driving. As for the pension language, those enemies of the E/B lied about that too. Changes in the pension amount has never been in our contract. But it was guaranteed IN WRITING by all the trustees of both sides, as long as the supplement passed!! And finally, the part timers voted NO last time because of a NATIONAL ISSUE: their healthcare got changed-which had nothing to do with our supplement. In all, the members voted based on false information and lies by members with a political agenda!!

Im voting NO...but I think it may pass...beginning of the end for $300/month which after taxes is about $50/week...its a shame but it is all on this board's head...all they r worried about it is the retiring not the guys with years left...hope another slate with different ideas and goals is put together to get these guys out of office..

Right, cause most retired guys need a new arbitration system. And plenty of retirees are interested in extra summer vacation too.

Whether you are retiring now or 20 years from now.If we don't start getting increases in our pension nobody will be able to retire comfortably.We haven't had a raise in almost 15 Years.We cannot leave this money at the table.
