Hey teamster 804(if you are a real teamster) stop with the blame on the old board and who cares about an election that this board won only because a third slate came into the race...what i am saying is in plain english. This contract sucks because of this vcd that the company presented to tim and it was not on the locals survey, we full timers do not want. So go tell tim to shove the $300 pension bonus that only part of the membership will get and tell ups to keep their vcd offer cause we will vote this crap down again and again!!!!!!!and if we have to walk away from this $300 bonus then we will do it with no problem.....vote hell no!
So we all have to suffer because you are afraid of the big bad VCD, LOL!! Every other local has some form of this but you "sky is falling" kooks are afraid of a few cover drivers while some younger guys get some summer vacation!! Even big tough local 705 has a similar system but theirs start at Easter and runs til Labor Day and they only pay $16/hr. Your fears are unfounded. Stop holding up our supplement over one issue. We asked for a boost in our pension ...and we got it!! We asked for more full time jobs...and we got!! We wanted more summer vacation time...and we got it!! We also have an 8 hr guarantee if there lay offs and and expedited grievance procedure now!! All that and some retro money is waiting for us all...BUT YOU OLD GUARD ARE ONLY LOOKING TO EMBARRASS OUR E/B IN ORDER TO TAKE THEM ON...AGAIN!! Listen, it is over for you old guard cranks. You lost the last 2 elections. Stop the politics and show some solidarity!!

I read the contract and I like what I saw. Voted yes, mailing it on Monday. I advise anyone thats thinking about voting no to go on teamsterslocal804.org and read the new good perks that we got and the real facts about the contract, not what some knuckleheads on here or whereever told/tell you.

Female center manager at UPS? Wow, surprise surprise. Haven't seen any female in management pass the ranks of part time at UPS. My center manager is so chilled towards part timers in my building on the local sort, don't know about preload. Everybody is chilled towards me since I made probation. I have to say, I like this place. Im demanding and demanding my rights by the days. I have demanded my 3 and one half hours and now getting it everyday, next up is bumping anyone with less seniority than me (couple guys in the small sort).

I tell it like it is sorry you consider me telling the truth about our previous board getting us nothing in our last three supplement,no pension raise in 15 years,trying to cut our pension,horrendous returns on our annuity,mismanaging our medical,blaming them but i am.And Yes i am a real Teamster for over 25 years and i am sick and tired of our local mismanaging our money and coming up empty in our supplements.Maybe this is something you enjoy for some reason.But i do not and will not leave a 300 to 400 dollar pension increase on the table and walk away empty handed again.

On a supplement that finally gives our members a pension increase in almost 15 years.300 dollars to 400 dollars a month.Whether you are working here 2 years or 25 years we need a pension increase.If you are a driver ask yourself do you want to work more than 25 years on that truck do you think you can survive 25 years on that truck.Well if we dont start getting pension increases now,forget about 25 and out if your pension is not big enough to support your retirement.Unfortunately our previous board did not fight for a raise in our pension for almost 15 years they even tried to cut it.Maybe if they would have managed our pension properly, and fought for raises all the supplements they negotiated,our pension would have been in better shape but it is not.People are leading you to believe we are losing Election day as a triple time day.Dont believe the B/S Election day is becoming a floating holiday to use when you want from Jan 16 thru Thanksgiving still at same rate of pay.Use it before your vacation if you need extra cash use it to replace your hot water heater if it goes and you need extra cash,whenever etc.I have even heard someone say we are losing leverage making election day floating.Leverage to do what take off on Election day to lose money because you dont like your manager.We are here to make money that is our highest paid day GIVE ME A BREAK with leverage!!! There are going to be a better grievance procedure in place,grievances will be heard in one to three months instead of getting lost.VCD drivers can only be used to cover vacations not to supplement regular workforce they cannot be used to take away your overtime.I see part timers everyday pulling out of the building as helpers now.Vacation cover drivers are for vacation coverage only.This is a good supplement read it over go to our locals website get the facts not the B/S some guys are dishing out for there own agenda not yours.
