On a supplement that finally gives our members a pension increase in almost 15 years.300 dollars to 400 dollars a month.Whether you are working here 2 years or 25 years we need a pension increase.If you are a driver ask yourself do you want to work more than 25 years on that truck do you think you can survive 25 years on that truck.Well if we dont start getting pension increases now,forget about 25 and out if your pension is not big enough to support your retirement.Unfortunately our previous board did not fight for a raise in our pension for almost 15 years they even tried to cut it.Maybe if they would have managed our pension properly, and fought for raises all the supplements they negotiated,our pension would have been in better shape but it is not.People are leading you to believe we are losing Election day as a triple time day.Dont believe the B/S Election day is becoming a floating holiday to use when you want from Jan 16 thru Thanksgiving still at same rate of pay.Use it before your vacation if you need extra cash use it to replace your hot water heater if it goes and you need extra cash,whenever etc.I have even heard someone say we are losing leverage making election day floating.Leverage to do what take off on Election day to lose money because you dont like your manager.We are here to make money that is our highest paid day GIVE ME A BREAK with leverage!!! There are going to be a better grievance procedure in place,grievances will be heard in one to three months instead of getting lost.VCD drivers can only be used to cover vacations not to supplement regular workforce they cannot be used to take away your overtime.I see part timers everyday pulling out of the building as helpers now.Vacation cover drivers are for vacation coverage only.This is a good supplement read it over go to our locals website get the facts not the B/S some guys are dishing out for there own agenda not yours.
What are you going to post if this supplement is past and they will not up the pension?

Holy cow! I see things have not changed here much. Retirement is awesome and my bills for my medical are smaller since I left. I wish Mango, Killings, Billly and the rest of the Row A cronies would finally grow up.

For your medical bills to be smaller you must be 65 or you didn't take the retiree medical. I hear that the retiree medical is over $500. a month, you weren't paying for your medical when you were working. Your right nothing has changed with what people post on here.

Last time I checked our pension,it was 25 years fulltime service regardless of age at 3100 after increase 25 and out regardless of age pension goes to 3400.Why did something change that you want enlighten us with.These others as you put it what is it that they are missing out on that they were entitled to before this pension increase.

Of course you don't care Liam! Because you will never do our jobs! What happens to that member who has 28year of service but 7 of those years are part time?! Would he get a penny more if he gets hurt or disable with 28year of service?! We all know how this company operates, I can see it already! If you get hurt in the job or at home they will try to medically disqualified you so you never get your extra $300.

Those members who have 20yrs of full time service and 5yrs of part service totaling 25 yrs, they will not be entitled to the pension bonus of $300. Lást time i check it states so as long as you have 25yrs of full time service.....local 804 supplement t/a i recieved states on page 10 upon ratification of the supplement agreement, the trustees will implement the folling improvements to the monthly service pensión amount provided under the plan. Section b. Goes on to say notwithstanding the above, the accrual rate for the regular pensión shall remain as provided for under the terms of the plans current summary plan description. Read the existing and enhanced monthly service pension amount as follows:

OK 25 years fulltime.That is a full time pension 3100 to 3400 regardless of age.No increase in 15 years.I believe its time.I really wonder if you guys on here really nit picked and bitched and moaned about our last three garbage supplements when we got absolutely nothing from our local in our supplement, the way that you are bitching and moaning about this one.A supplement that is finally doing something for the members.After years of being told we got to keep what we had supplement after supplement gaining nothing with our previous board.Current board negotiated the best supplement this local has seen in years.Members read the supplement take a look at our past supplements and make your own decision come to your own conclusion.This is your supplement.

local 804 pension has always been a tier but this is more of a bonus

this is the pension right now
do 25 years fulltime and your 55 you get 3600 , 144 credit per year worked
do 25 years fulltime and your not 55 your get 3100, 124 credit per year worked
do 30 years fulltime and your not 55 you will get 3600, 120 credit per year worked wait a minute 144,124,120 those are tiers??? Worse then that we are all getting :censored2: should have been 144 no matter what... Don't remember anyone crying about that????

Why if i'm not at age 55 when i hit 25 years i don't get 3600 but if someone does 25 years and is 55 they get 3600

im sorry but thats a tier.....

Just because i'm not 55 when i'v worked 25 years i only get credit for 120 a year not 144 so stop with your bu//sh/t.....

Who in there right mind would vote out a 300 to 400 dollar pension increase,we have not had an increase in 15 years.We got nothing in our last three supplements,and gave concessions to the company.Dont listen to the rebels without a clue!!!think for yourself make your own decision.

I guess what the E/B is saying they got us too much, we are a greedy bunch of good for nothing. Just because UPS works us hard every day, just because we miss most of our kids school activities, we should give back all of our protection. What is the matter with you members, the agitator put out a wonderful leaflet yesterday pointing out all the marvelous changes this E/B has given us. Remember the flotation device they paraded around with, that contributed to 1200 members being fired, mmm what happened to that? Oh how about the 52 drivers suspended for three days and the shop stewards off the job for a year, and that wonderful response from the arbitrator, you know the one this E/B tried to hide from us, the report that said if this ever happens again the members that listen to this E/B and stop work will be automatically fired. Oh oh and how about the third world medical we have, not only are 70% of our members on collection, but,if your kid, (God forbid) breaks his or her right leg, you will soon find out only the left leg is covered under our plan. The best one, this one I think lucifer would blush at, Tim S and Jim R signing onto the Ups master contract taking all the medical away from our P/T members . I hope all you P/T members, remember to vote NO again we friend/T members backed you guys up on the first vote, we need you now, anyone reading this post please past this onto our P/T brothers and sisters, if it weren't for our NO vote the first time around they would have the worst medical in the world, pass it on! Welcome to UPS Tom, where every driver everywhere misses kids events. Thats a choice WE make Tom, not forced by this or any other board. This TA is exactly what the surveyed members want. You personally may be a greedy good for nothing but that's immaterial, you'll still get the benefits this agreement provides, undeserving as you are. Only a deranged opportunist looking for a political opportunity would compare L804's medical plan to a third world plan and everyone (even you) knows that. Only in your poltical imagination lives the idea of 1200 members being fired. UPS has cut employment levels in nearly every operation nationwide in the last few years. L804 is no exception. Why do you think Sups working and 9.5 is such an issue???
L804's Pres and Sec Treas didn't sign on to anything with the Master (they urged a vote no on the Master, wrongly IMO) and no PT anywhere has had "all their medical" taken away. In fact the TeamCare plan has superior coverage levels than the L804 FT plan.
Worst medical in the world??? Laughable. You "need" pt's now but you don't want them to increase their earnings or opportunites for full time advancement by the VCD language? Your hypocisy knows no bounds.
Only thing Lucifer is blushing at is your distortions.

I have to say, Im not a fan of this contract at all. And I understand everyone is entitled to there opinions. But..What in gods name are you talking about? Are you serious with that? I mean, do you dream this up at night and then come on here in the morning and type what you dreamt? If you dont like the contract, thats fine. than vote how you want to vote. as i will too. And just so you know, if you fail a drug test they will fire you!! The people in this union are strong and smart (of course there are exceptions..hint Tom Delay) and they will vote based on the facts, and the facts are in black and white and were mailed to every local 804 members address to be voted on and mailed back. And for the record, im not happy with the contract, but not because of the gibberish made up/ dreamt up nonsense you posted,(and i was a part of the 52 drivers and also read and have a copy of the arbitrators decision), because I read it, and quite frankly im entitled to my opinion. But seriously, nothing wrong with expressing your opinion on here, i mean thats whats this sight is for right? And you and other people may not always agree with my opinion, but as adults we can accept the fact that sometimes we just have to agree to disagree . But you, and people who spread lies, and make up stories are the ones who bring this union down. Your board is encouraging you to vote yes because they negotiated with Ups and brought us the best supplement we have seen in years.What is ironic is that members like yourself are so blind that you cant figure out how important a pension increase is to this local after not getting one for 15 years.Whether you are here 2 years or 25 years if your pension is not high enough you will not be able to afford to retire.So if you are a driver ask yourself can you survive more than 25 years on that package car the way this company is working you.If your answer is HELL NO!! Guess what you need more money in your pension.Vote yes do not leave this pension increase on the table!!!
