You should be telling people to read the contact for themselves and make their own educated decision.

I’m not against a a good living wage, why are you? I though the union was about “a living wage.” Are you more of a $15 an hour kinda guy?

Our pension benefit will end up being about 17k over the 5 year term (that’s 102k over 30 years).

Our retiree healthcare costs will go down considerably. For a married couple and 1 child, a savings of about 700 a month.
Not yours management boy.
Oh, I thought I’d find you here, sobbing in the corner.
If I sob I sob for things and people that die. This is all so temporary. Your your lies will be your defining attribute.
You're a fake.

I’m sorry that you are clueless how to manage anything. The fact is I am not management (at ups). But I (donate my time) to manage a water system with 2 mil in annual income. And manage about a dozen rentals and a couple of boat charters. How do you manage the get your pants on? :happy2:

wide load

Starting wage is a waste of time.

Would you be happier if we just told you what you wanted to here? It actually takes guts to go and tell the truth. This company, the Teamsters, and a whole lot of people will b hurting real bad when this strike happens. And it’s going to happen.
Stuff it! The plan would a one day strike after peak on the slowest day of the year. A vote from the street, collusion, back to work in 24 hours under the same contract. We didn’t create this. You guys did!

Some people would say an employee making over $150,000 a year in total compensation is greedy by saying “we can do better” and to vote no. The reality is that its a good paying job. Period. Every part time employee has this opportunity and it’s a good thing.
Watch the Video! The whole reason Tyler B made it was to show the ridiculous the wage gaps are between full time and part time. He is voting no not for himself but for the Union as a whole. Nobody is expecting to be paid full time wages for a part time job. But my and every other part time workers pay check is averaging around 10% of that of a full time top rate. 10%!!!! How the hell is someone supposed to be able to survive until they can go full time. That’s a huge problem and why this contract is getting voted down. You would have to work 10 part time jobs to earn a full time wage that’s 200 hours per week!!!! Realistically someone should be able to get 2 part time jobs at 40-60 hours per week and survive until they can get a full time job but that is not the case. I work beside guys working 3 that can’t suport their small families. The guy next to me walks in stone dead tired yesterday because he just worked 18 hours at his 3 part time jobs. I voted for that guy as I am just working part time to get paid while working out lol. Somethings got to give for the part timers!

California Minimum Wage Progression
Year 1-25 employees 26+ employees

2019 $11.00 $12.00
2020 $12.00 $13.00
2021 $13.00 $14.00
2022 $14.00 $15.00

I love how they are acting like we are getting an unheard of raise to our starting pt wage. Guess what? In California you walk in to UPS at the end of this contract. You get 50 cents more than minimum wage and as a part timer if I stay for the life of that contract I’ll be a whopping $1.70 above MW. Right back where we are at today. The fact is at least for California the company had no choice. They are giving us nothing.

If you do all of these alleged things you've mentioned above I would hope that by now you've learned how to put a pair of pants on unless you have preferred to wear a skirt until now?

So just maybe, the volume is heavier this week (just like last year and the year before) because of the 3 day weekend where everyone ordered stuff on line as they sat around enjoying the weekend. Discounts? Did they weather suck where you live? Guess what people did. Please take a deep breath, there is no conspiracy.

Do not forget this is also the last heavy vacation week for most centers....

You're right! No conspiracy, UPS management is just incompetent at planning. That's why we had so many missed commercial stops and late NDA the last two weeks.

The premium jobs will always get the money. In your Local you can go cover driving at 4 years and make $27 dollars an hour and earn progression so you go to top rate RPCD in 5 to 6 years. The split raises don’t even matter here unless you want to be a forever part timer. Forever part time jobs is not what we went on strike in 1997 for. We all had 2 jobs as part times and worked at UPS for the Healthcare and Pension till a higher paying job opened up on the intent list. The reality is we dont have the same problems other parts of the county’s have.

Nope no boat here chico. Considering I’m leading the No vote in my area won’t be crossing.
My wife makes better money so that’s not an issue. Unlike worms like you.
