Ok the pkg car drivers now have language that protects us from the 70hour work week. Everyone is now on the 9.5 hr list that your local should be in charge of. Once a grievance is filed for a driver working over 9.5 hrs... work is then available. And the 22.4 driver is guaranteed his 40hrs. Now the regular pkg drivers will be back to a mon thru fri shift and yes the 22.4 will be working weekends. The union had to put in that as long as work is available because they kept shooting down the proposal asking for a 40hr guarantee. And the company came back and said if amazon pulls then im not paying 30% of our work force for nothing. Thats how the "as long as work is available" came into play. This was all explained by our local 174 representative who had a hand in writing the 22.4 job into the contract.
Boy things must be getting desperate for @Tony Q, hopefully one of the mods will move this to the voting thread ASAP.

Im voting no because I dont want a layoff on Monday nor do I want to have to pull a crap route just to find work. I also like a little overtime. I forsee 22.4 drivers cutting into this. Just leave it the way it is. New tcd hires have to understand they may have to work some Saturdays.

Again with the scare tactics .
You keep your medical if we go on strike it's through the union.
Have you not saved money for the possibility of a strike?
I believe we get four or five times our monthly dues per week if go on strike. So it's not like last time when we only got 55 dollars per week.
A no vote does not mean we are going on strike. It means you don't like this current proposal.
Wrong, 174 needs to work 40 hours a month to keep their medical. They also received a $300 a week strike benefit in 97

This "feeder wife" is the same person in the local 174 video. You can tell by their use of the English language. They type the same way they talk. I recognized it by the second post.

No wonder they are scared of a strike and pushing the yes vote. TeamCare doesn't look so Crappy now I guess
They will probably get 800-1000 strike benefits. One could cash out a vacation, optionals for those 40 hours. Just need 40 hours for ups to contribute. They could offer a waiver I suppose.

My husband and his union, local 174 is voting YES for the contract. Ive heard a ton of “no” votes but no reasons to back it up.... want to know what everyone thinks, and if you’re voting NO, can you please give reasons why?
Thanks!

PS- If there’s already a “Contract” thread, sorry! I tried looking for one, but didn’t see it.

Wow. Super pathetic. Local 174 AND the fake persona being used to peddle fake information is that of a feeder driver wife. The giveaway Contract propaganda machine has absolutely no shame.

The reasons to vote no have been outlined countless times over the last several weeks. If you still don't know what they are, I dunno what to tell you.
