No it’s not in the rider. Having pushed rick myself, I know that if continuous Monday layoffs occurred, advancing volume will be looked into. And “if work is available” will be used towards the 40 hour work week. “Work was available on Monday but you chose to deliver it on Saturday”.
You trust what Rick says or would you trust having it in writing?

@UPSFeederWife83 looks like a good member to me. I don’t know that your beef is here.

You never answered my question I don’t think.... at anytime during the negotiations did ups state that this was their “last, best and final offer?”

It doesn't matter if they did, it was not presented to the membership as such and had not been corrected in the time since presentation. If, in fact, it the last/best/final, it would have to be proposed again and resubmitted to the membership. Good faith would provide that the opportunity to state that it was last/best/final ended when voting opened.

My husband and his union, local 174 is voting YES for the contract. Ive heard a ton of “no” votes but no reasons to back it up.... want to know what everyone thinks, and if you’re voting NO, can you please give reasons why?
Thanks!

PS- If there’s already a “Contract” thread, sorry! I tried looking for one, but didn’t see it.

Did the no voters not have reasons, or did you just ignore them so you can continue to live in your fantasy world bubble? If anyone is mistreating you on these forums it's because we have been hashing this stuff out for months, and all the yes voters continue to deflect, dismiss, and ignore our completely valid issues and concerns about the contract.

Then you show up at the 11th hour parroting the same irrational points at us that we have been having shoved in our faces for months now. It really is just about too much to believe that you are who you say you are. BTW, I wrote a post countering just about everything from that Jamie Fleming video you posted, it's old news and utterly unconvincing.

Starting wage is a waste of time.
I'm A TCD. why should I vote NO?
As a TDC you could make top rate with 8 hour requests and 9.5 protection. If you go 22.4 (which you will) the highest you will make is $6 less than the rest of us and zero work time protection. When I’m done with my 9.5 week, you’ll have to put in 14.33 more hours a week than me to make the same as I do. That’s why every package car driver and anyone that wants a package car job to vote “friend NO!”
