Im voting no because I dont want a layoff on Monday nor do I want to have to pull a crap route just to find work. I also like a little overtime. I forsee 22.4 drivers cutting into this. Just leave it the way it is. New tcd hires have to understand they may have to work some Saturdays.
174 will not allow Monday layoffs due to advancing volume.

Wow. Super pathetic. Local 174 AND the fake persona being used to peddle fake information is that of a feeder driver wife. The giveaway Contract propaganda machine has absolutely no shame.

The reasons to vote no have been outlined countless times over the last several weeks. If you still don't know what they are, I dunno what to tell you.
And nobody has anything helpful to say after a rebuttal to the misinformation/lies?

Hey smart ass- a majority of feeder drivers work nights- just like my husband is now- to get your pkg cars full of those boxes you see in the back of your truck! Hes working and on his headset while he drives. Just stop being dumb! The point of my thread was to get/give info about your guys current contract- not for you to pick me or anyone else apart.
I'm in local 174. I got the same explanation you got about just in case amazon leaves us blah blah blah.

Then write it in the contract.

The way the contract is written leaves us open for daily lay offs. Which as sure as the sun will rise, ups will lay off everyone they can everyday.

There is stuff I like in the contract. But its specifically in the western region. Like our pay and retirement.

I've been staring at my ballot for a week trying to decide how to vote.

I'm trying to cast my vote based on what's good for all members. Past present and future.

Not just what's good for me.

Is that written in our rider? (Honest question)

I dont remember seeing that.
No it’s not in the rider. Having pushed rick myself, I know that if continuous Monday layoffs occurred, advancing volume will be looked into. And “if work is available” will be used towards the 40 hour work week. “Work was available on Monday but you chose to deliver it on Saturday”.
