Imagine how good the Union plan would be if there weren't these "carve outs" and locals who are somehow exempt from what was imposed on the rest???
How much more buying power would "TeamCare" have if they had every member in the same healthcare plan???
How can "carving out" create a better deal, the math just doesn't work.
Could it be that "autonomy" is what is killing the Teamsters???

Personally if the contract passes,its on the members. If we vote no and send it back it's on the NNC for not presenting us with a good enough contract to appease the members. If you want people to be enlightened by this contract being worthy of a yes vote tell me something that makes me enlightened as you say. Concessions are all over this contract and to tell me UPS will lose money doesn't make me care enough to vote yes. It will always be a risk to send it back, but the union and the company will not play chicken for to long until they come along with a better offer, question is do you have the balls to stand with your fellow coworkers and be man or a scab? Right now you sound like a scab and will not get far if you keep this mentality.

I already been in a strike and trust me I can line up my pile of grievances with the best of them. If the members want a strike I am gonna be there so don’t worry about that. It’s all the cocky vote no guys that don’t know what to expect is who you gotta worry about being scabs. I seen it at the last contract. 2 weeks in and the wife needs money for the kids, mortgage due and late on car payments. I already walked the line at UPS and walked in solidarity with other crafts. Truth is I am more worried about guys like you being a man or a scab.

Imagine how much better TeamCare could be if we had all UPSer's in it???
